"Design is about people and is a form of communication. I love developing my designs all over the world and working with people of diverse cultures. I prefer drawing inspiration from museums, rather then going to furniture fairs. In design the knowledge of comfort, proportion and construction are tantamount and they come from experience.

As a furniture designer my main responsibility is to make people comfortable. Comfort is something I have felt very strongly about throughout my career. I have worked with physical therapists and had myself X-rayed in good and bad seating in order to understand comfort, which is the most important ingredient in design. The style of the collection I designed, is classic, elegant, casual, and beautifully proportioned. The lean mix of materials have been chosen for the strength and honesty of their character."
