Jim Thompson

The Sanctuary Collection

The outstanding natural beauty of Southeast Asia’s amazing topography serves as the inspiration for the latest Jim Thompson collection. Primeval forests with their lush, verdant foliage, rushing streams and
cloud-covered peaks provide a natural Sanctuary of tranquility and beauty for those who seek to escape.
Before his disappearance in 1967, the popular “Silk King” Jim Thompson often wandered through Thailand’s
tropical forests seeking refuge from the demands of his highly successful career. He often traveled to remote jungle areas searching for temple ruins and sacred caves.

No. 9 from Jim Thompson

Tiger Tiger

For September's new No.9 collection, Richard Smith has looked to the ancient hand-crafted rugs of Tibet. His initial interest was sparked by the 1990 exhibition at the Hayward Gallery in London "The Tiger Rugs of Tibet".
In the intervening years research brought forth endless imagery beyond the animal skins of the original show: ravishing patterns combined with striking geometric borders and quirky colour combinations of vegetable dyes have all informed this collection.

JOHN HUTTON FURNITURE COLLECTIONS – SYNERGY IN DESIGN

Fox Linton is launching two extensive furniture collections – Collection Pierre by John Hutton and Counot Blandin by the historic art deco French artisan maker Pierre Counot Blandin.

Fox Linton already presents the highly respected and ever popular Ensemble London collection by John Hutton but with the two new collections Fox Linton becomes a vital destination for a wide choice of high-end furniture designs hand made by craftsmen to the highest standards of quality and finishing.

COLLECTION PIERRE

John Hutton summed up his creative strategy for Collection Pierre by saying,

“Collection Pierre is the creative spirit of a youthful concept….It takes the good, fun, excitement and intelligence learned from a lifelong study of the lives and times of 18th Century French society and rolls them into a fresh stylish and hip young collection of luxury furnishings faithful to the rhythms of the age. This is where and when fashion enters the home intelligently.”

COUNOT BLANDIN

Pierre Counot Blandin shot to fame in the 1930’s when designing and manufacturing the furniture for the Ist Class lounges of the Normandie, one of the relatively few legitimate contenders for the title “Greatest Liner Ever”. The Normandie was a ship of superlatives remembered as the greatest showpiece and exponent of the very best in modern French art and interior design.

The Counot Blandin collection, designed by Jean Louis Deniot, delivers a sophisticated contemporary modern twist on the creative essence of the past. Where the original art deco designs are timeless they are reproduced faithfully.
